Sarkari Naukri: There is an opportunity for those who want a government job in the jail department. Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) has released the recruitment of 803 jail guards. Online application for this has started from 24 December. Online application has to be done by visiting the website of the selection board https://rssb.rajasthan.gov.in/. According to the notification, the last date for application is 22 January 2025. To get recruited for the post of Jail Prahari in the Jail Department of Rajasthan, one has to pass the written examination and physical efficiency test. The written examination will be conducted on 9, 10, and 12 April 2025.

Out of 803 vacancies at Jail Prahari, there are 759 vacancies for non-scheduled area candidates and 44 vacancies for scheduled area candidates. This recruitment is being done under Rajasthan Prison Subordinate Service Rules 1998.

Age limit for the post of Jail Prahari

Candidates should be between 18 and 36 years of age to apply for the post of Jail Prahari in the Prison Department of Rajasthan. Age will be calculated from 1st January 2026. Age relaxation will be given to reserved category candidates.

Education Qualification for the post of Jail Prahari

Candidates must have passed 10th from a recognized board to apply for the post of Jail Prahari in the Prison Department of Rajasthan.

CET pass is not necessary for the post of Jail Prahari

Recruitment for the post of Jail Prahari will be done on a non-CET basis. Candidates who have less than 40% marks in CET can also apply for it. Even those who have not appeared in CET are also eligible to apply.

Application fee

Rs 400 for SC/ST natives of the state.

Rs 500 for candidates of all categories including General Category, EWS, MBC, and OBC.
