Punjab Crime: Punjab Police has arrested a serial killer who created a sensation by killing 11 people in 18 months. When the accused was taken into custody in the case of murder of a person, even the police were shocked to hear his confession. The accused is homosexual and used to look for customers at night as a sex worker.

On August 18, 37-year-old tea seller Maninder Singh was murdered at Modra toll plaza. To investigate this, the police took 33-year-old Ram Saroop alias Sodhi for questioning. Everyone was stunned to hear what Sodhi revealed during the interrogation. Sodhi had killed not one or two but 11 people.

After committing the murder, he used to ask for forgiveness in a strange way

The information that came out after questioning Sodhi was disturbing. Sodhi worked as a sex worker. He used to give lifts to men at night. He used to negotiate the terms of money. After the work was done, if there was a dispute over money, the situation would turn violent. Sodhi used to kill people. After killing, he used to apologize in a strange way by touching the feet of the victims and writing “dhokhebaz” (traitor) on their backs.

During police interrogation, Sodhi said that his crimes were often committed under the influence of alcohol. Referring to one case, he said that he struck a deal with a mechanic for Rs 150 for sexual services but then a dispute broke out. Sodhi said that the mechanic first attacked him, hit him with a stick. After this, Sodhi strangled the victim with a muffler and later apologized to the dead body.

The investigation also revealed that Sodhi's personal life was in turmoil. About two years ago, Sodhi's wife and his three children had abandoned him when they found out that he was gay.
