These are some international numbers, which call people for cheating.

Which numbers should we be careful of?

The government's telecommunications department had alerted people about international fraud calls and asked them not to answer calls coming from phone numbers starting with +77, +89, +85, +86, +84 etc. The department said that if anyone receives a call from such numbers, then report it on sancharsaathi.gov.in and help the department block such numbers and save others.

The government is tightening the reins

In fact, the government is continuously taking action against people making fake calls from within the country. By November 15, 2024, the government had 'blocked' 6.69 lakh SIM cards and 1,32,000 IMEI numbers. Such efforts are being made as part of the government's comprehensive strategy to deal with cyber crimes. In such a situation, cyber thugs are trying to make people their victims by calling with the help of international numbers. 

Be alert from cyber criminals

Let us tell you that cyber crime is continuously increasing in the country. To avoid these, do not answer suspicious phone calls and messages. Do not give sensitive information like OTP etc. to anyone on the phone. Similarly, do not open any suspicious link or email received on the phone.
