Sainik School Admission: If you also want to get your child admitted to Sainik School, then pay attention, applications have started for admission in classes 6th and 9th in All India Sainik School in the session 2025-26. Till January 13, you can apply online for admission in these classes by visiting aissee.nta.nic.in. After applying online, there will be an all-India level examination for this, the date of which will be announced later. Admissions will be done in Sainik schools across the country through this examination. Admission to class 6 of new Sainik schools will also be done through this examination.

Sainik School 2024 Age Limit: Till what age can you apply

The age limit has also been fixed for admission to Sainik schools. For admission to class 6, the child should be between 10 to 12 years old by March 31, 2025. Enrollment for girls will be done only in class VI. Admission of girls will be done on the basis of seats available in class IX. For admission in this class, the age of the candidates should be between 13 to 15 years as of 31 March 2025.

Sainik School 2024 Qualification: Eligibility and Application Fee

For admission in class IX of Sainik Schools, the candidate must be 8th pass. The application fee for general category candidates will be Rs 800, while ST/SC category candidates will have to pay Rs 650.

Sainik School 2024 Exam: How will the exam be conducted

For admission to Sainik Schools, there will be a written exam in 190 cities across the country, which will have multiple choice questions. For admission to class VI, there will be a 150-minute paper of 300 marks. This paper will have questions based on language, mathematics, intelligence, general knowledge, etc. Similarly, for admission to class IX, there will be a 180-minute exam. In the paper for class IX, questions related to subjects like mathematics, intelligence, English, general knowledge, social science, etc. will be asked. The total marks of the exam will be 400 marks. It is necessary for the students to get at least 25 percent marks in each section and 40 percent marks in aggregate. This condition is not applicable to SC/ST students.
