Lucknow. The murder of an 8-year-old girl in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh has been solved. The police killed the accused in an encounter at 2 am on Wednesday night. DCP Gaurav Bansal informed that on Wednesday morning, the mutilated body of an 8-year-old girl was found in a sack. The girl's pants were removed. The accused was identified after getting CCTV footage. He was caught after 16 hours. Illegal weapons were also recovered from him. He tried to fire at the police, in which he got injured in retaliation. The accused has been shot in the leg.
The incident is from a village in Sujabad outpost area of Ramnagar. On Wednesday morning, the body of an 8-year-old girl was found in a sack. The girl was missing since Tuesday evening. In the morning, her body was found 200 meters away from the house in a semi-naked state. Her hands and legs were broken and kept in a sack. The family has accused the police of negligence. In which they said that if they had searched for her at night itself, she might not have died. The last rites of the girl will be performed today.
During interrogation, the accused youth told that he had seen the girl going to the shop. While returning, he took her to his house on some pretext. Seeing no one around, he forcibly started having sex with her. Intoxicated, he tried for 5-7 minutes but when he failed, he smashed the girl's head with a stone. He tied her hands and legs and threw her body in a sack.
