From Modi-Shah to Vasundhara-Bajanlal… 3 big meetings in 7 days, what's happening in Rajasthan BJP?
Vasundhara Raje's activism and the ongoing meeting within the Bharatiya Janata Party in Rajasthan have intensified political speculation from Delhi to Jaipur. In the last 7 days there have been 3 meetings of 4 big leaders from Delhi to Jaipur regarding Rajasthan. The first meeting was between Narendra Modi and Vasundhara Raje and the second meeting was between Home Minister Amit Shah and Bhajanlal Sharma. After meeting Amit Shah, Bhajanlal also met Vasundhara. Now it is said that JP Natta will hold a meeting in Jaipur. After these marathon meetings of the leaders, the question arises as to what pot is being cooked in the Rajasthan BJP. Vasundhara Raje met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Dec. 20 at the Parliament in Delhi. This will be Vasundhara's second meeting with Modi in 3 days. Modi and Vasundhara met during a program in Rajasthan on December 17. But due to the post of BJP in-charge, the Delhi meeting was the talk of the town. This will be the first major meeting between Modi and Vasundhara after the Lok Sabha elections. It is said that there was a conversation between the two for about 20 minutes in the Delhi meeting. After the meeting with Modi, when the picture was shared on Vasundhara's social media page, BJP Rajasthan in-charge Radhamohan Das Agarwal tweeted a congratulatory message. Agarwal's congratulatory post sparked debates in political circles. The debate intensified when Vasundara camped in Delhi itself. Four days after meeting Vasundhara and PM Modi, Bhajanlal Sharma has gone to Delhi to meet Home Minister Amit Shah. There was a long conversation between Shah and Bajnlal. After meeting Shah, Bhajanlal went to meet Vasundara Raje. After this, Bhajanlal met many great leaders of Rajasthan in Delhi. After meeting he reached Jaipur. Bhajanlal had called a cabinet meeting on Thursday, but this too was postponed at the last minute. JP Natta's visit to Jaipur After BJP leaders' meeting with Shah and Modi in Delhi, party president JP Natta proposed a visit to Jaipur. Natta was scheduled to go to Jaipur on Thursday, but his trip has been postponed for a few days. There are chances of Natta's arrival in the New Year. What khichdi is cooking in BJP? The political chaos from Delhi to Jaipur raises the question of what political pot is being cooked within the ruling party. 1. Discussion on Cabinet Expansion and Political Appointments - One year of Bhajan Lal's government in Rajasthan has been completed. There are currently 23 ministers in the government. According to the numbers, a total of 30 ministers will be sworn in in Rajasthan. With the completion of a year and the conclusion of the Lok Sabha elections, speculations about the Cabinet reshuffle have increased in Rajasthan's political circles. It is said that some new ministers may be included in the cabinet. MLAs from the Vasundhara group are said to be given priority in the cabinet. The reason for this is the BJP's performance in the Lok Sabha elections. BJP won only 14 seats in 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Along with cabinet expansion, there is also talk of political appointments in Rajasthan. Recruitment is proposed for many posts in the Board and Corporation, which has not been completed for a year. 2. There is talk of Vasundhara's comeback - PM Modi has added to the talk of Vasundhara's comeback with BJP National General Secretary Radhamohan Das Agarwal congratulating Vasundhara's film. After BJP won in 2023, Vasundhara Raje was the frontrunner for the post of Chief Minister, but the Chief Minister's chair went to newcomer Bhajanlal Sharma instead. Vasundhara is currently the national vice-president of the BJP. Organizational elections are also going on in the BJP.
