A few years ago, at an event, Raveena Tandon had told this reason to Salman Khan and also given a complete explanation as to how she decided to enter films.
Raveena had said, “There is one person who changed my life and that is Salman Khan ji. He is very special to me. My first hero and because of him I did the film 'Patthar Ke Phool'. Many people do not know that I was offered many films during that period, but I refused them all.”

Taking the same point further, Raveena Tandon had said, “I was offered a film and the next day I was sitting in the canteen of FYJC College and I told my friends that I know I have been offered a film with Salman Khan. So my friends said, we are joining hands with you, you should do this film. Even if you don't do any film after this, do this. We will come to meet Salman on the shooting. Then you better stop doing films later. And that was the reason why I did 'Paththar Ke Phool'."

In the year 1991, the film 'Patthar Ke Phool' was released, which was directed by Anant Balani. The producer of the film was GP Sippy and the film had music by Ram Laxman. This film was written by Salman Khan's father Salim Khan. Salman was the lead actor in the film and Raveena Tandon was seen as the lead actress. This was Raveena's first film, in which apart from Salman-Raveena, actors like Vinod Mehra, Reema Lagoo, Kiran Kumar and Manohar Singh were seen. This film was a hit.
