Cyber Crime: Two labourers of Hathua block in Gopalganj district of Bihar were lured with a huge salary and were given a job in a Gulf country. After reaching the Gulf country, they were taken to Bangkok, Thailand, from where they were held hostage and forced to commit cyber crime . They were tortured for refusing to commit fraud. The youths who were held hostage have secretly made videos and sent them to their families on WhatsApp, narrating their ordeal. The family members are upset over this. The labourers held hostage in the Gulf country are Wahid Roshan and Mo Saud Ali of Fatehpur village of Mirganj police station. Their family members have appealed for their return to the country by submitting an application to the SP and Hathua SDPO in this regard.
Giving information, the family members said that agent Neeraj Kumar Yadav, a resident of Civil Line, Allahabad, UP, gave them a visit visa by taking Rs 1.20 lakh and passport and said that they will get a job at a good salary as soon as they reach Bangkok, Thailand. On 26 October 2024, both the youths reached Thailand by flight. Where some people dressed as soldiers made them sit in a car and after a journey of six hours, took them to a deserted place by boat. Where more than three thousand Indian, Nepali, Pakistani youth and girls are held hostage inside the boundary wall. They were being forced to commit cyber crime and immoral work. In this, both the youths of Hathua are also being forced to do the above work for three months.
India is being targeted for cyber fraud, where more than three thousand youths are calling Indians and targeting them in various ways. This work is being done by armed people from China and Pakistan. After the matter came to light, police officials have become serious.
After the youths got trapped, their family members went to the agent and pressured him to come back. The agent has been deceiving them for the last one month to take Rs. 1.20 thousand from them and send them back. After that, the family members have become worried. The family members have become suspicious about the atrocities being committed on the youths.
