“India laments the passing of Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji, one of its most illustrious leaders. He became a renowned economist after rising from modest beginnings. Over the years, he left a lasting impression on our economic policy while holding a number of government posts, including finance minister. His parliamentary contributions were also enlightening. In 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi replaced him.
