New Delhi: At the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi on Thursday evening, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha paid their respects to the late Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
Bhupendra Patel lamented the passing of the former prime minister in a post on X, stating that he had made a substantial contribution to India’s progress.
“It is very sorry to learn of the passing of Dr. Manmohan Singh ji, the famous economist and former prime minister of India. He contributed significantly to the nation’s growth while carrying out a variety of duties. May God provide him inner serenity and fortitude to endure this loss with his loved ones and supporters. “Peace be to you,” stated Bhupendra Patel.
“Manmohan Singh’s contributions to nation-building and shaping the country’s economic landscape will always be remembered,” Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha said in his condolence letter on X.
We are very grieved by the loss of Manmohan Singh Ji, a seasoned Congress leader and former prime minister of India. We shall never forget his contributions to the development of the nation and the formation of its economic environment. May everlasting peace be found for the deceased soul, “Saha said. ”
According to AIIMS, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh died Thursday night at the age of 92 from age-related illnesses.
Manmohan Singh was honored by India’s top leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu.
According to Murmu, Dr. Singh will be remembered for his national service and for his vital contributions to the restructuring of the Indian economy.
“Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji was one of those rare politicians who also straddled the worlds of academia and administration with equal ease,” Murmu said in a sympathy post on X. He had a significant influence on the transformation of the Indian economy in his many capacities in public administration. His commitment to the country, his impeccable political career, and his deepest humility will live on in his memory forever. We all feel a deep sorrow over his demise.
“I pay my respectful homage to one of the greatest sons of Bharat and convey my heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and admirers,” said President Murmu.

He worked hard to make people’s lives better while serving as our prime minister,” he wrote on X.
After 33 years in the Rajya Sabha, Singh announced his retirement earlier this year.
Born in Punjab in 1932, Manmohan Singh was India’s prime minister for two terms, from 2004 to 2014. After the Congress defeated the Atal Bihari Vajpayee-led NDA in the 2004 Lok Sabha election, he took the oath of office for the first time. 2009–2014 was his second tenure in office. In 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi replaced him.
