Sushmita Sen told that when Salman's film Maine Pyar Kiya was released, after that she used to keep the posters of this film in her room. Not only this, Sushmita's passion for the superstar was so much that her family members did not remove those posters, hence she used to finish all her homework on time.
Sushmita Sen recently mentioned some beautiful memories of her teenage years on Shipra Neeraj's YouTube channel. Sushmita Sen also talked about her obsession with Salman Khan in her teenage years. Sushmita Sen recalled, “I used to buy Salman posters with whatever pocket money I got. In those days, Maine Pyar Kiya had just released, so I used to have a photo of that pigeon too, because it was from Salman Khan's film." Sushmita further told that those posters were a source of motivation for her.

Sushmita Sen further told that those posters were so important for her that she used to finish her homework on time for this. Sushmita Sen said, “My parents always used to tell me that if I did not finish my homework on time, we would remove all the posters. So I always finished all my homework on time, because those posters meant a lot to me, I loved that man.”
After many years, Sushmita Sen got a chance to work with Salman Khan. She met Salman on the sets of Biwi No. 1 and both became friends. Sushmita said that after becoming friends with Salman, she told him about her crush. Sushmita said, “One day Salman told me that I have seen your teenage photo when you were 15 years old. Which was your favorite movie? I said, I loved. Then Salman said, I went to David Dhawan and I told him that I want to make a film with Sushmita, why did I love her?
