Now the Cyber ​​Crime Wing of Tamil Nadu Police has alerted people about a new kind of scam. It is being called Jumped Deposit Scam.

What is a Jumped Deposit Scam?

According to media reports, in this type of scam, the scammers first send some money to the victim through UPI. As soon as the money comes into the account, the victim will get an SMS. As soon as such a message comes, people usually check their account, as soon as the victim will proceed to check his account, the fraudsters will put in a request to withdraw money from his account. When the victim will enter the PIN number in the mobile to view the account, the fraudsters' request to withdraw money gets approved. In such a case, the fraudsters withdraw many times more money than they have sent.

Police alerted people

The police have asked people to be alert about such SMS. The cyber crime wing has advised that people should not check their accounts immediately after receiving any such notification. They should wait for some time so that the withdrawal request expires.
