Health and Social Welfare Minister Sakina Itoo gave information about this on Sunday. She said that Rs 1,000 is a very small amount and the aim of this increase is to reduce the financial burden on families taking care of Divyang members.
The Omar-led administration is focused on addressing all the concerns of the public, especially the Divyang community. They are actively working on the proposal to increase the Divyang pension to Rs 3,000 per month, which is currently in the pipeline.
The minister has promised that they are moving fast to increase this increase from Rs 1,000 to Rs 3,000. During a visit to the prosthetic limb camp organised by Shri Atma Vallabh Jain Clinic at Brahman Sabha Parade, he praised the efforts of the community in helping others and assured his support for future initiatives.
He emphasised the government's commitment to provide necessary resources and support to enable persons with disabilities to lead a life of independence and dignity.
