In Patna, Bihar, educator and YouTuber Faizal Khan, also known as Khan Sir, met with protesting Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) candidates on Friday and urged them to demonstrate peacefully.

He added, “Everyone wants a re-exam,” as he spoke to the candidates. He joined the demonstrators as they screamed anti-BPSC chants.

He made fun of BPSC by claiming that the GDP of the nation had declined first, then bridges and BPSC. “Pehle desh ka GDP gira, phir Bihar mein pul (Bridge) gira, phir BPSC gir gaya.”

In Patna, the BPSC candidates had assembled outside the commission’s headquarters and demanded that the test be canceled. Allegations of violations during the BPSC exam gave rise to the demonstrations, which started on December 13.

The question paper was leaked, according to candidates, and the distribution of the papers was delayed. Suspicions of a possible leak were heightened by the fact that several applicants said they received the question paper over an hour late, while others said their response papers were ripped.

Rashtriya Janata Dal Chief Lalu Yadav remarked that the police should not have used “lathi charge” on the students who were demonstrating and that what was done was wrong, prompting a strong political response to the state’s demonstrations.

“They ought not to have taken this action. It’s incorrect. Lalu Yadav stated.
Authorities from the police department, however, stated that “mild force” was used and denied that the demonstrators were hurt.

Prashant Kishore, the head of Jan Suraj, earlier on Thursday issued a “ultimatum” to the Bihar government, threatening to lead the demonstrations personally if the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) candidates problem is not handled within three days.

Kishore addressed the students in Patna’s Gardanibagh, denouncing the ‘lathi accusation’ against them and urging the NDA-led government to act immediately on two issues.

“Student representatives should meet with the government to discuss their request for a reexamination. It is regrettable that a student took their own life yesterday. Kishore insisted that the government immediately declare Rs 10,00,000 in compensation for the deceased’s family.

He made it apparent that this was his “ultimatum” to the administration, threatening to lead the demonstrations if the matter was not settled in three days.

“This is my ultimatum to the government: if the issue is not resolved within three days and the students decide to protest further, I will be at the forefront,” Kishore said.
