Stock close: The stock market ended on a positive note with the Sensex up 226.59 points.

19 shares of BSE SENSEX rise Other Stock Markets in Asia Status: On January 27, 2024, the stock market ended with a rally. At the close of trade, the benchmark Sensex of the Mumbai Stock Exchange (BSE) was up 226.59 or 0.29% at 78,699.07 points. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty also gained 63.20 points or 0.27% to close at 23,813.40. 19 stocks on the BSE Sensex were gainers including Mahindra & Mahindra, IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finance, Tata Motors, Bajaj Finserv, Sun Pharma, Nestlé India, ICICI Bank, Asian Paints, Infosys, Maruti Suzuki and ITC. Stocks that ended lower included State Bank of India, Tata Steel, Adani Ports Zomato, Ultratech Cement, HCL Technologies, Larsen & Trubo and Titan. NSE Nifty gains 30 stocks, 30 stocks in NSE Nifty 50 end in green and 20 stocks in red. Bajaj Auto, Eicher Motors, Tata Motors, IndusInd Bank and Dr. Reddy are prominent among the profitable stocks. Among the losers were Hindalco, State Bank of India, Coal India, ONGC and Bharat Electric Ltd. There is a positive trend in the European market. US markets ended lower on Thursday. In the global oil market, Brent crude was trading up 0.70 percent at $73.78 a barrel.
