Aamir Khan had starred in a film called 'Holi' during the initial days of his career and that time, nobody knew who he was. He was on a film instititute campus and this was even before ' Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak ' happened as he became a star after that. Aamir's co-star Kitu Gidwani has opened up now on her experience of working with Aamir during those days when he was just a nobody.

Kitu Gidwani spoke about how she got the role during a chat with Siddharth Kannan and said, "During those days, Aamir Khan was a nobody! We were all crazy people on film institute campus. Ketan Ji (filmmaker Ketan Mehta) asked me, Kitu, lately you have been mostly seen in Film Institute… so I said, ‘Yeah, I have been doing student films.’ Suddenly he was like, ‘Will you do Holi?’ I was like, ‘What is Holi?’ He said, ‘Its a film I am doing.’ And that’s how it all happened.”

She added, “I just played the sexy girl on campus”, said the actress. Back then, it was not about money or stepping stone. We just did what we liked.”

Recalling how Aamir was at that point in time, Kitu said, "He had just started his career in cinema then. He is a man who loves cinema. He was creative. I had no clue who Aamir Khan was. Aamir was very quiet person. They were all very humble and cool. He was very nervous when we had to kiss. He was as nervous as I was. He was very simple actor back then. I can call him a friend.”

The film also starred Naseeruddin Shah . Sharing the experience of working with Naseer, she said, "Naseer is quiet humble when he comes before his co-actors. I joined his theatre group, Motley Crew. For us, the work was more important. For Naseer, Work is worship. He was our friend, but I saw him as my Guru. He never asked for it, I felt like respecting him.”
