A tragic incident unfolded in the Swat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as a young TikToker lost his life due to an accidental gun discharge while filming a video.
The victim, identified as 26-year-old Abu Bakar from Shaheen Abad, Saidu Sharif, was reportedly creating content for the popular social media platform TikTok when the mishap occurred.
According to initial reports, the firearm unintentionally went off during the video shoot, leading to his untimely death. Police quickly responded to the scene, transporting the body to Saidu Sharif’s Central Hospital.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, collecting evidence and filing an FIR to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the accident.
This unfortunate event mirrors a similar tragedy in Swat back in 2021, where a teenage boy also lost his life while filming a TikTok video with a firearm.
The rising trend of high-risk video-making for social media platforms continues to highlight the need for caution as the pursuit of viral content leads to devastating outcomes.
