The victim's family told the police station that they searched for him till late Sunday night, but he was nowhere to be found. As soon as the news spread on Monday morning, the local people surrounded the accused's house and demanded his immediate arrest. Dhanbad Police pacified the people by assuring the accused of his early arrest. The victim's family and the local people are adamant on the demand for the immediate arrest of the accused.
Dhanbad police officer said that when the accused was not arrested till evening, a crowd gathered on Monday night and set the accused's house on fire. When the police and fire brigade team reached the spot, the house had been burnt to ashes. The police officer said, "The accused is absconding and raids are being conducted at various places to arrest him." At present, the police have appealed to the people to maintain peace.
