Although madrassas are meant to provide religious education to children, there is a madrassa in the Colonelganj police station area of Kanpur, where education to orphan children is given only for the sake of subsistence. This madrasa was actually used as a den of cyber fraud. The fraudsters sitting in this madrasa used to arrest people digitally and withdraw money from their accounts. On the basis of the complaint received in this regard, Kanpur Police has conducted a raid and arrested two people including the kingpin near the cricket pitch. The police is now conducting raids in search of his associates.
According to the police, a complaint of cyber fraud was received. It was told that some people are committing such crimes by making digital arrests. During the investigation of this complaint, the police had traced the operator of MRDSE, Javed. After this, when the police found his location, it was found that he was present in the cricket field with his friends. After this, the police laid siege and caught Javed and his companion. However, during this action, two people managed to escape taking advantage of the darkness.
When the police interrogated the accused Javed, it was found that he runs the Madrasa Qasimul Uloom Foundation. To make ends meet, he calls some orphan children and gives them training, but his real work is to cheat for internet banking on mobile. After every incident, the accused used to divide the money earned through fraud among themselves.
During police interrogation, these fraudsters revealed the fraud of Rs 32.50 lakh that happened recently. Said that as soon as the money was taken, these people had transferred it to other accounts. The accused told that they use the cheated money for fun. Now the police is busy searching for his remaining associates.
