UP constable asked for Bolero in dowry, if he did not get it then he broke the marriage… forced father to file FIR

Even after the enactment of the dowry law, dowry greedy people are not stopping nor is the dowry system showing signs of stopping. A case related to dowry has come to light in Bareilly, UP, where a constable posted in UP Police asked for a Bolero car in dowry. When his demands were not met, the constable broke the relationship. Even after the initial rituals for the marriage were completed, the soldier refused to marry. It is alleged that his demand was that the girl's family should first arrange for a Bolero car only then he would bring the wedding procession. Otherwise he will not marry.

The girl's father had also made arrangements for food and marriage procession. The wedding procession was to come on 16 January. Cards were also distributed among relatives. The soldier refused to marry. After that the girl's family is worried. He tried to convince the constable and his family but they did not agree. Frustrated, the girl's father has filed a report against the constable. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the police have registered a report and started investigation.

Mishri Lal, resident of Sona village of Amla tehsil of Bareilly, had fixed the marriage of his daughter with Pradeep Kumar, son of Vijendra Singh, resident of village Dhuriai of Shahabad police station of Rampur district. Pradeep is a constable in UP Police and is posted in Shahjahanpur. The girl's father alleges that all the initial rituals had been completed and the wedding procession was to take place on January 16. He had made all the preparations for the wedding procession and had also distributed the cards.

A few days before the marriage, the boy's family demanded a Bolero car. When the girl's side said that they were unable to give the car, the boy's family refused to marry. The boys said that if they could not give them the Bolero before marriage then they would not marry. After this, the constable and his family refused to marry. The girl's father and brother tried to convince the constable and his family but they did not agree.

Police engaged in investigation

The girl's father has said that all his relatives know that his daughter is getting married on the 16th. He has made all the arrangements for the food and drinks of the wedding procession and the rest of the people. In such a situation, the marriage has broken due to which he is being defamed. The distressed family has lodged a complaint at Sirauli police station. In the entire matter, Sirauli police station in-charge Prayagraj said that a report has been registered on the basis of the complaint and the entire matter is being investigated.
