A husband set his wife on fire in Parbhani, Maharashtra. In Gangakhed Naka area, the husband poured petrol on his wife and set her on fire. This painful incident shocked the entire area. The accused was angry over the fact that his wife had given birth to a daughter for the third time. The incident took place on the night of 26 December. The husband's brutality has also been captured in a CCTV camera installed nearby.
The deceased has been identified as 34-year-old Maina Kale. According to the police report, Maina's sister had lodged a complaint at the police station. Maina's sister told that the accused husband, Kundalik Uttam Kale, often taunted and abused his wife. Because there were three daughters in his house. Because of this there were frequent fights between the two.
There was a fight between the husband and wife on the night of 26 December. At that very moment the husband lost his temper and Kundlik poured petrol on his wife and set her on fire. As soon as the fire broke out, I started running here and there screaming. Neighbors tried to save Maina but due to petrol the fire spread rapidly and became difficult to extinguish. After the fire was extinguished, Maina suffered severe burns. He was immediately taken to the hospital where he died before treatment could begin.
After this incident, on the complaint of the victim's sister, the police registered a case of murder against the accused Kundlik Kale and arrested him. The police is conducting a thorough investigation in this matter but the officers are not ready to give any statement until the investigation is completed.
There is an atmosphere of anger in the area after the incident. Local people are angry about this incident and they believe that it reflects the mentality of the society, in which there is a negative attitude towards the birth of daughters.
