JioMobile News: India's largest telecom operator Reliance Jio has made major changes in the validity of its most affordable Rs 19 and Rs 29 data vouchers. These are the data vouchers that most Reliance Jio customers rely on for their short-term data needs. The price of a Rs 19 voucher used to be Rs 15 till a few months ago, while a Rs 29 voucher used to cost Rs 25. The tariff hike earlier this year has increased the value of these vouchers and this will help Jio increase its average revenue per user (ARPU) figures.

Change in validity of Reliance Jio's Rs 19 and Rs 29 data vouchers

According to a report by TelecomTalk, Reliance Jio has changed the validity of data vouchers of Rs 19 and Rs 29. Earlier, the validity of the Rs 19 voucher was only the base active plan of the user. For example, if the validity of the user's base plan was 70 days left, then this Rs 19 data voucher would also be valid for 70 days or till the data is completely used. But, now it has been changed to 1 day. That means, the new validity of Rs 19 data voucher is 1 day. The same has been done with the Rs 29 data voucher. Its validity was also the same as the user's base active plan. Now customers will get 2 days validity in Reliance Jio's Rs 29 data voucher.

Customers will suffer losses like this

The recent changes made by Jio in the validity of these plans show the telecom company's efforts to earn more from its customers. Whereas customers are effectively paying the same price and getting the same amount of data. The reduced validity means that they will have to recharge again whenever they need more data, even if they do not use the entire data from the voucher the first time. That is, if considered in one way, it is the customers who suffer the loss.
