Former Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh said goodbye to the world on 26 December. Everyone remembered him and paid tribute. Many big stars shared posts on social media in his memory. Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh has also paid tribute to him. He has been touring under the name of Dil-Luminati for a long time. He remembered Manmohan Singh during the show.

Diljit has shared a video on social media, in which he is seen on stage. He says, “Today's concert is in the name of our former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh ji. Manmohan Singh ji has lived a very simple life. If I look at his life journey, he has lived such a simple life that even if someone spoke ill of him, he did not retaliate. However, the most difficult thing in a career in politics is to avoid this thing.

What did Diljit Dosanjh say?

Diljit further said, “Have you ever seen the session of Lok Sabha? Our politicians fight like children in nursery class. Meaning they (children) also do not fight like these people fight. Well, I don't want to enter into it, but it has come to light only from Dr. Manmohan Singh ji that he never retorted to anyone. We should learn this from his life.”

He further said, “He often used to say a couplet, 'My silence is better than thousands of answers, I don't know how many questions have kept my honour.' I think today's youth should learn this, I should also learn this that no matter how bad someone speaks to us, no matter how much someone tries to mislead us, your goal should be clear, you should be focused on your work. Because the person who is speaking ill of you is also a form of God, you are just being tested as to how you react to him.”

Spent my entire life in the service of the country- Diljit

Diljit also said, “Another big thing that has come to Manmohan Singh ji is that he was the first Sikh whose signature was on the Indian currency. The money that the whole world is running after had his signature on it, this is a big thing. It is not an easy thing to reach this point. Today we bow our heads for a person who devoted his entire life to patriotism and service to the country. I pay my respects again and again to Dr. Manmohan Singh ji. Today's concert is in his name."

Diljit did not give any information about where this concert was, but from his caption it seems that this is a video from Guwahati. He wrote in the caption, “Today's concert is in the name of Manmohan Singh.” He shared this video on 29 December. And on 29th December he performed a concert in Guwahati. It seems that this video is from Guwahati only.
