The protest of BPSC students in Bihar took a bigger form on Sunday. After holding the Dharma Sansad at Patna's Gandhi Maidan, the students started marching towards the Chief Minister's residence to meet Nitish Kumar, but the police stopped the students near JP Golambar. Tried to negotiate and when the students did not agree, they chased them away using lathi charge and water cannon. Some students also suffered injuries in the lathi charge. Also, a case has been registered against 600-700 unknown people including Prashant Kishore and his party president.

Jan Suraj Party chief Prashant Kishore also reached Gandhi Maidan in support of BPAC students. After this, he also proceeded towards the Chief Minister's residence along with the students. There is talk that he had left JP Golambar before the lathi charge. Later he said that the government has agreed to talk to the students. For this the member delegation will talk to the Chief Secretary.

Prashant Kishore said – Government is ready for talks

Prashant Kishore said that the administrative officials of the government were present here, they have talked to our colleagues and assured that the government is ready to discuss the demands of the candidates. The government says that a 5-member committee of students will now talk to the Chief Secretary so that some decisions can be taken on their problems and demands. If the BPSC candidates are not satisfied after talking to the Chief Secretary, then everyone will sit together tomorrow morning. I would request the students not to do anything that is not legal right now. If the decision is not in favor of the students, if any injustice is done to the students, then we will stand with them with all our strength.

What is the demand of BPSC students?

BPSC students are adamant on the demand of canceling the integrated 70th Joint Preliminary Competitive Examination and conducting it afresh. Apart from this, they are also demanding a thorough investigation of the entire process from the preparation of the question paper to the conduct of the examination. Students say that an SOP should be made for competitive examinations so that students do not have to face unnecessary trouble. The names of the candidates should not be included in the FIR lodged against unknown people.

Politics also became heated regarding lathi charge on students. The Congress party said that the government not only fired water cannon on the youth in the harsh cold but also brutally lathicharged them. The police did not spare anyone, they just kept lathicharged. Unemployed youth in Bihar have been protesting against rigging in BPSC examination for several days, but the government is not ready to listen to them. The government should leave aside its ego and talk to the youth and accept their demands.

Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh targeted Nitish government

Aam Aadmi Party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said that there has been a deadly police lathicharge on BPSC candidates. The youth who have been on hunger strike for many days are being treated like animals. It is an example of the dictatorship of an autocratic government. Nitish ji, who is born out of the student movement, did not expect this from you. The demands of the students should be resolved. The country will be run not by sticks but by dialogue and constitution.
