Delhi: Team India lifted its second World Cup trophy after 2007 by winning the T20 World Cup jointly hosted by West Indies and America this year. India defeated South Africa in the final. Jasprit Bumrah had an important contribution in this victory, who helped India win with his bowling. But ICC did not nominate Bumrah's name for the best T20 cricketer of the year.

Bumrah's name missing from the nomination list
ICC on Sunday announced the nomination of the best T20 cricketer of the year 2023. However, Jasprit Bumrah's name is not included in this list, even though he took 15 wickets in eight matches in the T20 World Cup and his bowling in the final played an important role in India's victory.
Name of Arshdeep, Raza, Head in nomination
The nomination for the Best T20 Cricketer award includes the name of Arshdeep Singh, who topped the list of players taking the most wickets in the World Cup 2024. Apart from this, Sikandar Raza of Zimbabwe and Travis Head of Australia are also included in this list. Arshdeep took 36 wickets in 18 T20 matches played this year, while Sikandar Raza scored 573 runs in 24 matches and also took 24 wickets.
Names of Babar and Mendis also missing from nomination
This year Babar Azam scored the most runs in T20. He scored 738 runs in 24 matches, but his name is not in this nomination. Sri Lanka's Kusal Mendis also performed brilliantly and scored 628 runs in 22 matches, but his name is also out of the list. Mohammad Rizwan is also second after Babar in scoring runs, but his name is also not present in this list.
