New Delhi: As 2024 comes to an end, a handful of recent releases are trying their luck at the Box Office. Shining among them is Marco, starring Unni Mukundan as the lead. You will be amazed to know that the action thriller, directed by Haneef Adeni, is performing well at the ticket counters.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the much-talked-about film raked in Rs 1.65 crore on its 11th day in cinemas. If we talk about the total collection, it has reportedly grossed Rs 41.1 crore domestically so far. Globally, it is believed that the movie has minted Rs 69.1 crore at the Box Office.
Alongside the 37-year-old actor, the Malayalam flick also features Siddique, Jagadish, Abhimanyu S Thilakan, Kabir Duhan Singh, Anson Paul and Yukti Tareja in pivotal roles. It was released in theaters on December 20, 2024, to make the most of the Christmas weekend.
Interestingly, Marco has now become the highest-grossing A-rated Malayalam film of all time. It surpassed the Box Office collection of Dulquer Salmaan starrer Kammatipaadam.
Upon its theatrical release, Marco garnered significant buzz on social media. It opened to mostly positive reviews, with critics praising its action sequences, cinematography and musical score.
For the unversed, the music of Marco was composed by Ravi Basrur. While Shameer Muhammed handled editing, the cinematography was handled by Chandru Selvaraj. Produced by Cubes Entertainments and Unni Mukundan Films, Marco is rated 8.2 out of 10 on the Internet Movie Database (IMDb). The flick revolves around the story of a gangster set against the backdrop of the gold mafia.
