New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday sent his warmest wishes for a successful year ahead as the globe enters 2025. As the year’s guiding concepts, PM Modi highlights the value of fresh possibilities, individual development, and communal well-being on X.

President Droupadi Murmu, meanwhile, sent her warmest wishes for the coming year.

The President took to X to wish for a happy, peaceful, and prosperous 2025 for everyone and to advocate for a more promising, inclusive, and sustainable future for both India and the rest of the globe.

A very happy new year to all of you! I hope that everyone has happiness, peace, and wealth in 2025! President Murmu said on X, “Let us reaffirm our dedication to collaborating to build a more promising, inclusive, and sustainable future for India and the world on this occasion.”

India greeted 2025 with festivities across, with residents in several cities celebrating the milestone with pleasure and fervor. Numerous communities kicked off their New Year’s festivities with themed décor, live music performances, parties, and cultural activities.

There were sizable crowds celebrating the New Year at Delhi’s well-known locations, including Hauz Khas, Connaught Place, and Lajpat Nagar. Delhi Police prepared security measures in advance to guarantee a secure celebration.

To greet the New Year, people flocked to the Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab. Many cities also held special parties on the occasion at their hotels. People celebrated the arrival of 2025 by dancing in the streets of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. In the same vein, when midnight arrived in Lucknow, people rejoiced and danced.
Many places had amazing fireworks displays as the New Year rolled around. Mumbai’s Versova Beach, Chowpatty Beach, and Juhu Beach were crowded with partygoers. To view the fireworks, people also congregated near Marine Drive.

Meanwhile, throngs applauded and danced in the streets of Manali, a well-known tourist destination in Himachal Pradesh. People in West Bengal used their mobile phones to flash lights in celebration. The New Year began with fireworks lighting up the sky in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

Cake cutting was another way that people celebrated in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Percussion instruments were played in the streets of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, while a sizable crowd celebrated the event in Chennai.
