Mallikarjun Kharge wishes Happy New Year, reaffirms commitment to protect the Constitution

New Delhi: In addition to wishing everyone a happy new year, Mallikarjun Kharge sent out a message asking people to recommit to social justice, equality, inclusive development, unity in diversity, and constitutional preservation.

“My dear compatriots, let us reaffirm our unshakeable commitment to social justice, equality, unity in diversity, inclusive growth, and the defense of our Constitution as we go toward 2025. I’m wishing everyone a #HappyNewYear that is full of happiness, wealth, and optimism. Let there be harmony and serenity everywhere. “Jai Hind,” Kharge said in an X post.

Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, had earlier wished everyone a happy new year, expressing the hope that the country will enter 2025 with renewed vigor, pleasure, and happiness. “To all of you, happy new year. I pray you have more energy, pleasure, and joy this year. I hope everyone has a wonderful new year. In an X post, Rahul Gandhi was quoted.

On the eve of the New Year, President Droupadi Murmu also greeted the country. “I offer my warmest greetings and best wishes to all Indians, both in India and overseas, on the festive occasion of the New Year,” she said in her statement. New hopes, goals, and aspirations begin to emerge in our lives with the arrival of the New Year. Let’s greet the New Year with excitement and pleasure and move our country and society closer to greatness and togetherness.”

Meanwhile, people in several places celebrated the year 2025 with pleasure and fervor as India welcomed it with nationwide festivities. Numerous communities kicked off their New Year’s festivities with themed décor, live music performances, parties, and cultural activities.

There were sizable crowds celebrating the New Year at Delhi’s well-known locations, including Hauz Khas, Connaught Place, and Lajpat Nagar. Delhi Police prepared security measures in advance to guarantee a secure celebration.

To greet the New Year, people flocked to the Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab. Many cities also held special parties on the occasion at their hotels. People celebrated the arrival of 2025 by dancing in the streets of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. In the same vein, when midnight arrived in Lucknow, people rejoiced and danced.
Many places had amazing fireworks displays as the New Year rolled around. Mumbai’s beaches, including Versova Beach, Chowpatty Beach, and Juhu Beach, were crowded with partygoers. To view the fireworks, people also congregated near Marine Drive.

Meanwhile, throngs applauded and danced in the streets of Manali, a well-known tourist destination in Himachal Pradesh. People in West Bengal used their mobile phones to flash lights in celebration. The New Year began with fireworks lighting up the sky in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

Cake cutting was another way that people celebrated in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Percussion instruments were played in the streets of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, while a sizable crowd celebrated the event in Chennai.
