Indian-origin doctor dies in UAE plane crash, know who Dr. Sulaiman

An Indian-origin doctor has died in a plane crash in UAE. A light aircraft crashed in UAE on 26 December. Three people died in the plane crash. 26-year-old Indian-origin doctor Suleiman Al Majid also died in this accident.

This incident happened on the coast of Ras Al Khaimah on 26 December. Along with the Indian-origin doctor, a 26-year-old pilot and a Pakistani woman also died in this accident.

How did the accident happen

Indian-origin doctor Suleiman Al Majid was born and brought up in the UAE. His father Majid Mukarram said, the plane crashed shortly after takeoff at around 2 pm. The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has confirmed the plane crash. He also said that an investigation is underway to find out how the accident happened and what went wrong with the plane. According to Dubai media reports, the plane belonged to Jazeera Aviation Club.

Dr Suleman had hired a light aircraft for a viewing trip and flew in it for sightseeing. His family - his father, mother and younger brother - were present at the aviation club to witness the experience. His younger brother was to fly in the same aircraft after Suleman.

Family in mourning

Suleman's father said, First, we were told that the glider had lost radio contact. Later, we were told that it had made an emergency landing and the people on board were seriously injured and were rushed to the hospital. The father further said, When we reached the hospital, we were told that both the people were seriously injured. Before we could see Suleman, he died at 4.30 pm.

The father expressed grief over the death of his son. While the family was together to celebrate the New Year, a mountain of sorrow fell upon them and their son left this world.

Who was Dr Solomon?

Dr Suleman has worked as a clinical fellow at County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust in the UK. He was associated with the British Medical Association. He was working with the British Medical Association as Secretary, later he was working as Co-Chair of the Northern Resident Doctors Committee. He also supported issues such as salary restoration and declaring “junior doctors” as “resident doctors”.
