He emphasized that meetings of District Road Safety Committees, which are presided over by District Magistrates, must take place by January 5 at the latest. Additionally, from January 6 to 10, road safety awareness programs have to be held in universities and schools around the state.

To guarantee an effective traffic control system during the Mahakumbh, the Chief Minister ordered the deployment of more PRD officers and Home Guards.

He emphasized the startling figure of 25,000–26,000 fatalities in traffic accidents per year, calling it a significant loss to the state and the country and mostly attributing these incidences to a lack of knowledge.

“Road Safety Month should be implemented effectively not just in Lucknow but in all 75 districts,” he said. At the district level, the Superintendent of Police or Senior Superintendent of Police, the Municipal Commissioner, the RTO, PWD officers, the District School Inspector, the Basic Education Officer, and the Chief Medical Officer should all attend monthly road safety meetings that are chaired by the District Magistrate. Every three months, the state government will assess how well these district-level projects are doing.

The Chief Minister gave authorities instructions to pinpoint accident-prone areas and districts and to create plans of action to deal with the root causes and guarantee their resolving. For the ease of commuters, he emphasized the need of prohibiting minors from driving e-rickshaws and other vehicles, expediting the e-rickshaw registration procedure, and putting up required signs on the highways.

A zero-tolerance approach for overloading was also demanded by Chief Minister Adityanath, who instructed authorities to deal with the problem at its root. He pointed out that parked, heavy cars on roads and motorways pose a serious risk and need to be quickly removed using cranes. Through focused awareness initiatives, he called for the adoption of safety regulations including the use of seat belts and helmets.

The Chief Minister emphasized that cars with a history of challans should have their licenses or permits removed. For this procedure to be implemented effectively, FASTag must be incorporated. He gave the order to prominently exhibit hoardings that raise awareness of road safety issues and are issued by the information, transportation, and road safety agencies. “All 75 districts, 350 tehsils, 1,500 police stations, and municipal bodies should have these hoardings installed,” he said.

The people should be urged to help the wounded by taking them to the closest hospital or trauma center within the crucial golden hour, he said, rather than running away after seeing an accident. In order to save lives, efforts should also be taken to reduce ambulance response times.

Like road safety clubs in schools and colleges, the Chief Minister suggested creating road safety parks in each district. According to him, “through activities like plays, music, poetry, essay writing, seminars, speeches, and general knowledge competitions focused on traffic rules, students should be actively involved in road safety awareness campaigns.”

He also emphasized the need of ensuring that buses are equipped to meet safety regulations and that Transport Corporation bus drivers have routine health examinations. “Vending zones should be designated in every locality to support hawkers, and by providing proper spaces for vendors, illegal roadside stands should be eliminated,” he said.

To lessen noise pollution, the chief minister demanded that motorcycles with modified silencers and horns be prohibited. Additionally, he emphasized the dangers of buses that are run illegally and directed that non-contracted vehicles be registered and given regular routes. The people would have more convenience and connection thanks to this move.
