It's finally January, which to fans around the world means one thing - the Galaxy S25 series is . The firm confirmed back at the beginning of November on an earnings call that its new flagship phones would bear the S25 name, as expected, before it was reported that .
Now we've ticked into 2025 it's incredibly likely that we'll know everything there is to know about the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus and S25 Ultra in one month's time. Reports are still claiming that 22 January is the date for the next Samsung Unpacked event, but the tech giant hasn't confirmed it quite yet.
Korean news site reported on 23 December that Unpacked will take place in the US on 22 January, and the phones will go on sale on 7 February. The publication also claims Samsung will show off a special 'Slim' edition of the S25, but it's still unclear if it will go on sale at the same time. We could be looking at a later release date like when Apple announced the iPhone 8 and iPhone X at the same time but we had to wait longer to buy the latter.
Though there have been several leaks and rumours pointing to a slightly redesigned S25 Ultra that might have curvier edges than the S24 Ultra, a new development has pretty much confirmed this. Phone case and skin manufacturer has rather boldly already started selling skins - protective stickers designed for specific devices - for the S25, S25 Plus and S25 Ultra, complete with digital mock ups of each design.
A even shows just the backs of the alleged phones themselves. The devices look incredibly similar to the S24 series, particularly the regular and Plus models with matching triple cameras and otherwise plain designs. The camera lenses look slightly larger than on the S24.
The S25 Ultra pictured also has larger looking lenses along with rounded corners. Though it looks like a minor change, the had very sharp edges that made the large phone a little uncomfortable to hold in one hand for long periods. Rounded corners could go some way to making the S25 Ultra a nicer device to cling onto.

But all signs point to Android fans being in for a treat mere days from now, as with previous years, when Samsung kicks off the calendar year with its biggest annual launch.
