Lucknow. A case of a youth being beaten to death in mob lynching has come to light in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. Regarding the incident, City SP Ran Vijay Singh said that the mob caught the youth while he was slaughtering a cow. The incident happened on Monday morning. The mob surrounded the youth and beat him with sticks and kicks so much that he later died.
As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and took the young man to the hospital, where he died during treatment. The name of the deceased youth is Shahedin. Seeing the possibility of tension, the administration conducted the post-mortem of the body at night itself. The family buried the body in the morning. Tension has increased in the area, after which the force has been increased.
The incident took place in the Mandi Samiti in the Majhola police station area. Around 3.30 am on Monday, the people around got a hint that some people were slaughtering cows here. After this, a crowd of local people gathered. 3 out of 4 people fled from the spot but Shahedin was caught. He kept pleading with folded hands to save himself but the angry crowd did not listen to him. He was beaten so much that he became unconscious. He died later in the hospital. The entire area is inhabited by Hindus. The severed head of a cow was also found on the spot.
