Jocelyn Wildenstein, the woman known for radically changing her face with a host of alleged procedures, has died aged 84.

Born in Switzerland, the socialite was nicknamed 'Catwoman' due to her leonine features, which included slanted eyes like a cat, a pointed chin and prominent cheekbones. Incredibly, Jocelyn mostly denied having , despite her extreme looks being cited by many as a reason not to go under the knife.

In reality, the mum-of-two is thought to have started changing her face when she got married to Alec Wildenstein in 1978. While the wealthy woman put her looks down to her Swiss heritage, her billionaire businessman ex-husband disagreed, telling : "She was thinking that she could fix her face like a piece of furniture.

"Skin does not work that way. But she wouldn't listen." "She was crazy," added the art dealer. "I would always find out last."

While Jocelyn's extreme looks made her famous in her later years, many people have never seen what she looked like before. A picture of the New Yorker aged around 40 shows a beautiful, more natural appearance but by the time she was in her 50s, the socialite's face had mysteriously changed beyond all recognition.

"The lynx has perfect eyes," she in 1998. "If I show you pictures of my grandmother, what you see is these eyes - cat eyes - and high cheekbones."

"I don't understand the whole press and the Catwoman thing because Jocelyn always looked like that," the mum to Diane and Alec Jr in 2018. "She never really did anything to change her face. I have pictures from 16 years old where she looks exactly the same as today." When asked if she had undergone surgery, she replied: "No".

At the time of her 1999 divorce Jocelyn was more candid, saying one reason for her alleged procedures was that Alec "hated to be with old people". She was reportedly awarded £2bn in her divorce settlement, with the judge said to have insisted she didn't spend any money on cosmetic surgery.

But in an interview last November, Jocelyn once more that she had not gone under the knife. "I haven't had plastic surgery, I am scared of what can happen and I don't like to have something heavy, sometimes it is a bit heavy and terrible," she said.

"I don't like the Botox," added the socialite. "Everyone has a different reaction to it. I have had Botox only twice. I don't know if I am allergic, but when I had it, it did not go well with me. It was not a good result, my face swelled up."
