Leaving aside the hatchbacks, while the demand for SUVs is increasing rapidly in the market, Maruti Suzuki's small cars have once again proved that small cars are no less than anyone else. In November, Maruti Suzuki launched the new version of Dzire for the customers, after the launch, this car came with a 5 star rating and created a lot of buzz.

It would not be wrong to say that Dzire proved to be very lucky for the company due to which the company's domestic market, export and total sales saw an increase in December.

Talking about the mini segment, Maruti Suzuki's Alto and S Presso cars have seen tremendous demand in this segment. Talking about the compact segment, Celerio, Baleno, Swift, Dzire, WagonR and Ignis cars are most liked by the customers in this segment. In 2024, the company has sold 62,324 units in the mini and compact segment, in 2023 the company sold only 48,298 units in this segment.

Ciaz is in great demand in the mid-size segment. Talking about passenger vehicles, utility vehicles like Fronx, Breeza, Grand Vitara, XL6, Jimny, Ertiga and Invicto are making a splash. Last year, the company sold 55,651 units in the utility vehicle segment, while in 2023 only 45,957 units were sold in this segment.

Talking about light commercial vehicles, Maruti Suzuki's Super Carry vehicle has created a stir in the market. Maruti Suzuki is trying to strengthen its hold in the Indian market through passenger, light commercial vehicles and utility vehicles.

How much did sales increase?

In 2023, Maruti's total sales in the domestic market were 1,06,492 units, while the company's sales growth has seen an increase in 2024. In 2024, the company's total sales in the domestic market stood at 1,32,523 units.
