One of the OG Instagram and YouTube creator, Prajakta Koli is widely known for her wit and creative pursuit on social media. The ‘Mismatched’ actor has become a household name especially among GenZ. Recently, in Bharti TV podcast, the content creator opened up about her weight loss journey and how strict dieting actually adversely affected her body. It is easy to find people who open up about weight loss tips and tricks but knowing the other side of side effects is important too.
Weight loss journeys are different and varied measures affect people differently. While people often opt for strict diet rules, it did not work for the YouTuber. Speaking about her weight loss journey she said, “I have actually gained weight but lost fat. There was too much inflammation, bloating and water retention in my body. My weight was actually lesser earlier, but because I have gained muscle, I am heavier now, but I am toned.”
Exercising is a major component of her toned physique and fat loss journey. She revealed how dieting actually negatively affected her. “I cannot diet; food makes me too happy, I cannot leave it. I did try going on a strict diet once, I think I clinically got sick and was sad… after the Covid-19 lockdown, I realised I was very unhealthy. I was not able to get enough sleep, eat healthy, drink enough water, my skin was bad, I had hair fall, I was tired after walking 4 steps. That is how my fitness journey started. But with time, I released that more than my physical health, my mental health depended on fitness and exercise,” mostlysane said.

Dynamic and mixed exercising not helps to tone the body, reduce overall body fat or strengthen it, this system also adds bit of fun. Doing the same thing everyday can strain that particular body part and also add to boredom.
For Prajakta Koli variety of workout is inclusive of cardio routine, strength training, weight training, yoga too. She also prefers home-cooked meals, eating balanced meals. Golden rule of hydration is important too. Koli also emphasis the need to “show up” even on busy days. Consistency can take you a long way.
