A recent patent filed by Nintendo confirms the use of NVIDIA’s AI-powered DLSS upscaling. This in turn has increased the hype among the users. This feature, if equipped could enable the console to run games at higher resolution without requiring large storage space. the patent suggests that a game with native 4K textures might need a 60GB download, but a 1080p version could be stored on a smaller 32GB Switch cartridge. This technology would upscale the visuals to 4K in real-time, ensuring that games look great while keeping physical media affordable.
The increasing number of leaks suggests that we are not that far away from the official announcement. Some reports suggest that January 8, 2025, is when it will be officially released by Nintendo and the product will hit the shelves by March 28, 2025.
