Colin Firth bagged an Oscar for his portrayal of King George VI in The King's Speech and has graced the screen in the Kingsman films, Pride and Prejudice, Bridget Jones films, A Single Man, 1917 and Operation Mincemeat.
Catherine McCormack as Jane Swire
Jane Swire, the wife of Jim Swire and mother to Flora, was a steadfast ally in her husband's quest for truth and justice following the Lockerbie bombing. The role is brought to life by Catherine McCormack, known for her performances in Braveheart, Temple, Slow Horses, Sherlock, and 28 Weeks Later.
Sam Troughton as Murray Guthrie
Sam Troughton steps into the shoes of Murray Guthrie, a fictional local journalist who is quick to arrive at the scene in the opening episode. Ardalan Esmaili as Abdulbaset al-Megrahi
Abdulbaset al-Megrahi, one of the two men accused of the Lockerbie bombing, is played by Ardalan Esmaili. A Libyan national suspected of espionage, his arrest and subsequent trial became an international affair, even involving the United Nations.
Despite his conviction, al-Megrahi maintained his innocence until his death. Esmaili has previously starred in Grey Zone and Deliver Me.
Muda Abbara as Al Amin Khalifa Fhimah
Muda Abbara takes on the role of Al Amin Khalifa Fhimah in the series. Initially implicated as one of the terrorists behind the Lockerbie bombing, Fhimah was later acquitted and returned to his home country.
Abbara's previous credits include The Swimmers and In Another Life.
Guy Henry as Paul Channon
Guy Henry portrays Paul Channon, the Secretary of State for Transport under the Conservative government during the Lockerbie incident. He faced heavy criticism from Labour MP John Prescott for holidaying with his family shortly after the attack, leading to his dismissal.
