Fog havoc in Jharkhand! 3 killed, 13 injured in bus-truck collision

Three people died and 13 others were injured in a collision between a bus and a truck in Palamu district of Jharkhand on Friday morning. Police said that the accident occurred on Kasiyadih-Bakoria road in Satbarwa area, 30 km from district headquarters Medininagar, when a goods vehicle collided with a bus due to dense fog and low visibility.

A police officer said, 'The truck driver died on the spot and more than 13 passengers were injured in the collision. Two of the injured were taken to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences, Ranchi, where they later died.

The bus was going from Medininagar to Ranchi.

Those who died in the accident have been identified as Riyasat Mian (56), Shashi Pandey (26) and Pushpendra Kumar (46). Anchit Kumar, officer in charge of Satbarwa police station, said that the other injured have been admitted to the nearby Tumbagada hospital. At the time of the accident the bus was going from Medininagar to Ranchi.

People were evacuated with the help of villagers

There was chaos at the spot after the road accident. Hearing the noise, the nearby villagers ran. After the accident, apart from the driver of the bus and truck, many passengers were also trapped in both the vehicles. Who were taken out with the help of the villagers. On receiving the information, the police of Satbarwa police station reached the spot.

Accident due to dense fog

It is being told that this accident happened due to dense fog. This bus ran from Medininagar to Ranchi at the scheduled time every day. The truck was coming from the opposite direction towards Medaninagar from Ranchi. Due to dense fog, both the drivers did not see each other's vehicle and a horrific collision occurred.
