Hyderabad: Actor Allu Arjun was granted regular bail on Friday by a local court in Hyderabad concerning the stampede that occurred during the premiere of his film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ at Sandhya Theatre on December 4.

The tragic incident resulted in the death of a woman named Revathi and left her nine-year-old son in critical condition due to asphyxiation.

The Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge imposed several conditions with the bail, including a restriction preventing Arjun from leaving the country without prior court permission. He was required to provide a personal bond of Rs 50,000 along with two sureties.

Additionally, he must report to the Chikkadpally police station every Sunday between 10 am and 1 pm for two months or until the filing of the chargesheet, whichever comes first.

The judge emphasized that Arjun should not interfere with the investigation or attempt to influence any witnesses.

Arjun was initially arrested on December 13 and spent a night in Chanchalguda jail before being granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court the following day.

His interim bail is set to expire on January 10. Following the incident, Arjun’s father pledged financial assistance of Rs 2 crore to Revathi’s family, while Allu Arjun had previously offered Rs 25 lakh as compensation for their loss.
