Amid severe fog conditions in Delhi, IndiGo Airlines issues an advisory

New Delhi: Indigo Airlines issued a warning on Saturday that flight schedules from Delhi and other Northern areas may be affected due to the extreme fog conditions in the city. The airline posted about the present fog conditions in North India on social media.

6ETravelAdvisory: Many parts of Northern India are dealing with various fog conditions as winter sets in. Fog may be heavy on certain days, but it may still affect flight schedules on others, according to the article.

The essay also discussed how the current poor visibility conditions affect aircraft scheduling.

“6ETravelAdvisory: Delhi continues to experience significantly reduced visibility due to fog, impacting flight schedules,” the article said.

The airline made sure that the passengers’ journey went well.

“Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to ensure smooth travel for everyone,” the message said.

The Indian Meteorological Department reports that at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, the lowest temperature in Delhi was 10.2 degrees Celsius.

The national capital’s air quality remained in the “very poor” range. The Central Pollution Control Board reports that around 6 a.m. today, the AQI in Delhi was 385. It was 348 yesterday at the same time.

A score of zero to fifty is regarded as “good,” 51 to 100 as “satisfactory,” 101 to 200 as “moderate,” 201 to 300 as “poor,” 301 to 400 as “very poor,” and 401 to 500 as “severe.”

Due to the current poor visibility and fog conditions, Indigo has sent a caution about modifications to flight schedules in Bengaluru.

According to the IMD, the lowest temperature in Bengaluru was 15.6 degrees Celsius.
