A new calendar of study time and holidays has been released for the children of government schools in Uttarakhand for the 2025-26 session. According to this calendar, there will be a total of 240 days of study in government schools, while there will be 125 days of holidays. With this decision, children can see a good balance between studies and holidays.

Director of Secondary Education Dr. SB Joshi on Wednesday released the annual calendar of holidays for government schools in the state. Under this calendar, 77 days of holidays are to be given equally in summer and winter schools, which have been decided by combining Sundays and public holidays.

Summer and winter holidays

According to this calendar, summer schools will get 35 days of summer vacation from 27 May to 30 June and 13 days of winter vacation from 1 to 13 January. At the same time, there will be 11 days of holiday in winter schools from 20 June to 30 June and 37 days of winter long vacation will be given from 26 December to 31 January 2026.

Schools will be closed for a total of 125 days.

Establishment of Library
