It is always said that stomach diseases start from the stomach. If the stomach is clean, then the body is healthy. But nowadays many people are suffering from constipation and other stomach-related problems due to Western or English toilets. Due to these toilets, proper movement is not possible, due to which the stomach cannot be cleaned and problems like constipation start to increase.

History of English Toilets

The English toilet was invented in 1596 by Sir John Harrington of England. However, it had several flaws. Alexander Cummings in 1775 and Joseph Bramagh in 1778 improved it further, creating the modern English toilet of today. Until the 19th century it was considered a luxury, but now it has become common, and because of it, problems like constipation are also increasing.

The problem is caused by the sitting position

The way to sit on the English toilet is wrong. When people sit at a 90-degree angle, the intestinal tract becomes blocked and stool cannot pass out. Some people sit with their backs bent, which does not clear the stomach.

Indian toilets are better

Gut Health Expert Dr According to Mani Kumar, Indian toilets are better than Western toilets. Sitting in a squat position in an Indian toilet allows stool to pass easily. In this, the intestinal tract remains correct, while sitting in the western toilet, stool remains trapped in the stomach.

Correct sitting position on the English toilet

If you must use the English toilet, use a stool and put your feet on it. This will make an angle of 35 degrees in the body and stool will be able to come out completely from the stomach. Although this position may seem awkward at first, it will not cause constipation.

Make a habit of drinking water in the morning on an empty stomach.

Make it a habit to drink lukewarm water on an empty stomach in the morning before using the English toilet properly. It helps to clean the intestines and stools pass easily from the stomach.

Risk of pelvic diseases

Research has found that the use of English toilets has increased the incidence of pelvic diseases, such as piles (haemorrhoids). Pressure on the stomach due to constipation causes inflammation of the veins in the anus, and water jets can also damage the veins.
