BPS Re-examination: Today, Saturday, re-examinations for the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) Integrated 70th Combined Preliminary Examination will be held at only 22 sites in Patna, despite loud requests for its complete cancelation. The candidates who took part in the test at the Bapu Examination Complex on December 13 will retake it at these locations. In reaction, the authorities have stepped up security.
As the demonstrations in Patna persisted on Friday, trains were stopped in the morning, demonstrations in Gandhi Maidan and Gardanibagh persisted, and in the evening, a torchlight march was held to express disapproval of the state government and BPSC.
The BPSC re-examination in Patna has been prepared for. For the test, 60 judges in all have been assigned to 22 locations. This comprises 14 magistrates who will continue to be based in the district control center, 24 static magistrates, and 22 zonal magistrates. There will also be seven flying squads in operation.
Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, the District Magistrate, said that applicants would be permitted entry to the test center from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. No entrance will be allowed after then, no matter what. The test is set to begin at 12:00 PM and end at 2:00 PM. All of the centers have received orders to implement Section 144.
