Online Ticket Booking for the Mahakumbh Mela 2025: Indian Railways has started a campaign to allow online ticket purchases for the Mahakumbh Mela 2025. Initially, the QR codes put on train workers’ jackets would be used by the devotees to reserve their tickets. The plan would streamline the ticketing procedure for railway officials and save them the trouble of waiting in lengthy lines for tickets.
The commercial department staff will be assigned to special duty at Prayagraj Junction, according to Amit Malviya, senior PRO of the Prayagraj Railway Division. They will be dressed in recognizable green jackets with QR codes on the back. Devotees may buy unreserved seats without standing in line by using their phones to scan these codes and download the UTS mobile app.
In addition to saving time, the digital payment method lessens the logistical difficulties that come with big events.
Senior PRO Malviya said that in order to facilitate ticket booking for passengers, railway employees would be stationed at key locations across the railway property, each sporting a QR code jacket. The whole travel experience will be enhanced by the QR codes, which will also provide access to a number of other essential services.

The Mahakumbh Mela App, a dedicated website, and a toll-free hotline have all been introduced by Indian Railways to enhance guest convenience in addition to the ease of online ticket purchase.
Mahakumbh Mela 2025: Using QR Codes to Communicate With Police
The Maha Kumbh Police has developed four QR codes that, when scanned, would enable followers to interact with the police on social media, per Chief Minister Yogi’s directives. YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and X (previously Twitter) each have their own QR code. For example, the Kumbh Mela Police website will be shown if the QR code for X is scanned. They may message to report any problems in addition to receiving real-time information here. As soon as senior officials get the communication, they will be informed. Similar to X, this functionality will also be accessible on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
