Chhattisgarh's Bastar Ki Awaaz journalist Mukesh Chandrakar became victim of corruption. After Mukesh's murder, the BJP government seems to be in action mode. On Saturday, Home Minister Vijay Sharma held a press conference and talked to journalists. Vijay Sharma alleged that Congress leader Suresh Chandrakar has murdered journalist Mukesh.
The government had ordered an investigation on December 25 itself into Mukesh's report exposing corruption. Besides, an SIT has also been formed regarding the murder of Mukesh. Not only this, all the construction works done till now by accused Congress leader Suresh will be re-examined. Bulldozers are also being run on his illegal house, the farmhouse.
Home Minister Vijay Sharma said that what has happened is painful. I used to regularly watch Mukesh's YouTube channel Bastar Junction in the morning. Because Mukesh used to do journalism very deeply. The Home Minister told that he often talked to Mukesh about what else could happen or what should be done in Bastar. But this incident is an attempt to weaken the action being taken against red terror.
He said that Mukesh was murdered by Congress leaders Suresh, Ritesh and Mahesh. So far three accused have been detained. Also, investigation is being done by forming SIT under the leadership of IPS Mayank Gurjar. Vijay Sharma said that work is also being done to seal the bank accounts of the accused. Till now three of his accounts have also been put on hold. Besides, action has also been started against many of their illegal constructions.
Home Minister Vijay Sharma said that four police teams have been sent for absconding Congress leader Suresh Chandrakar. Only after the police arrest, the case will be fast tracked and the challan will be presented in the court within 3 to 4 weeks. Vijay Sharma said that Congress leader Suresh has been appointed in-charge of the district by the party in October 2023.
He said that Congress leaders are trying to establish that law and order is not good in the Sai government. But they were also involved in Balodbazar, Congress leader North Jangade was inspiring to do incidents like Balodbazar, Congress people were also involved in the police family incident in Surajpur. Why is it that Congress has a hand in every serious incident?
The Home Minister said that on December 25 itself, the inquiry committee had been formed by Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao on the report of Mukesh. At the same time, their other roads and works will also be investigated. All these actions are being taken to stand with Mukesh's family.
Vijay Sharma has shown how serious the BJP government is regarding this incident. But still many such questions are arising among the journalists and the public. If action was taken against corruption, then who instigated Suresh Ritesh to murder Mukesh? When Mukesh went missing on January 1 and his brother Yukesh informed the police, why did the police not take immediate action? Why was action taken to break the septic tank by reaching the farmhouse only after pressure from local journalists of Bastar? How did Suresh manage to escape easily despite police intelligence?
