This is a popular song from an old film of Bollywood's first superstar Rajesh Khanna. This song is 'Aate Jaate beautiful wanderers on the streets, we meet so many unknown people, some of them are forgotten, some are remembered'. This song can be applied at many places. Many artists also came on the path of Bollywood and many left a deep impression in the hearts of the audience. But there were some artists who came and after being a part of the industry for some time, suddenly disappeared. Uday Chopra was a part of one such journey.
Everyone must have seen the movie Mohabbatein at least once in their life. If you have not seen it, you must have definitely heard the songs of this film. This is considered to be one of the biggest multi-starrer films of all time and is also considered to be one of the top class love stories of Bollywood. Many other actors including Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Anupam Kher, Jugal Hansraj, Kim Sharma, Shamita Shetty, Jimmy Shergal worked in the film. Uday Chopra was also in a supporting role in the film. He was cast opposite Shamita Shetty in this film. The film worked and his role also became a hit, but what happened to Uday Chopra after this?
Uday Chopra was born on 5 January 1973 in Mumbai. He inherited the film industry. For generations, the Chopra family has been active in the world of films and TV and has been entertaining the audience in various ways. But Uday Chopra decided to become a director like his father and was seen playing the role of assistant director in many films. After playing this role for almost 10 years, he finally made his debut as an actor and became a part of the multi-starrer film Mohabbatein. He was noticed in this film. He was also liked because of the cool style of his character.
Uday Chopra got acquainted with the working pattern of films by playing the role of assistant director in some films including Lamhe, Parampara, Darr, after which he turned towards acting in films. After Mohabbatein, it is not that his roles were not liked in films. Worked in Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, Mujhse Dosti Karogi and Dhoom series. His acting in this film series was also liked a lot. He played the role of Ali Akbar Fateh Khan in it. But after this role, none of his roles could create hype. Gradually he distanced himself from the present. He also destroyed his future prospects of being an actor. And Bollywood remained a part of the past. His last film appearance was Dhoom 3. After this, he was not seen acting in any film, although he remained active as a producer.
But it is not necessary that if someone's father is a big director or producer then his future generation should also do the same. He tried for a time. But after this he confessed with complete honesty that he would now go in some other direction in his life. He wanted to become a lead actor in films but he did not get the same response in such roles. He had said in an old interview that- 'I have not left acting, acting has left me.' Even though he may have said this in a light-hearted manner at that time, a silent pain can also be heard behind this statement. He had also said in another interview that he felt very hurt when questions were raised on his acting. Many people believe that the reason for his quitting his film career was the criticism he faced during that period regarding his acting. Now Uday Chopra stays away from limelight.
