About 30 years ago a film was released, whose name was 'Krantiveer'. The climax scene of this film became iconic. The way Nana Patekar acted in that scene touched everyone's heart. That scene of the film brought anger among the people and Nana Patekar is still remembered for that scene.

Nana Patekar had talked about that scene of the film for a few months and he had made a surprising revelation. He had told that the climax scene of the film Krantiveer was never written but was a product of his mind.

How was the climax scene of 'Krantiveer' shot?

In an interview given to Lallantop, Nana Patekar had said, “The last scene of ‘Krantiveer’ was not even written.” On this he was asked, 'Has that scene of watching the spectacle of my death come?' On this, Nana further said, “Yes, I was in the hospital at that time and the shooting was going to happen the next day. I said if I die today the producers will die the next day. So let's go and do the shooting."

Nana further said, “The producers also said, let me get well first, but I told them that I will not shoot. Three-four doctors went with me there. Now when I reached there, I wore the dress and said give me a scene, then he said let's write. I said write? What does it mean? So the director explained that the scene would be like this, just write the dialogues and give them.

Nana Patekar further said, “After that I said, okay, take lunch break now, we will start shooting at 2.30. During the lunch break, I thought about what to say and do. After this, shooting started at 2.30 pm and ended by 5 pm. I kept speaking and when I thought what to say next, I took a cloth from the hand of the executioner and covered my mouth.” This scene of Nana Patekar is considered iconic even today, in which Nana showed his creativity.

Condition of film Krantiveer at box office

The film 'Krantiveer' directed and produced by Mehul Kumar was a superhit film. In this, Dimple Kapadia was seen with Nana Patekar. Apart from these, actors like Atul Agnihotri, Mamta Kulkarni, Paresh Rawal, Tinu Anand and Danny were seen in the film. According to Sacnilk, the budget of the film 'Krantiveer' was Rs 2 crore, while the film made a spectacular collection of Rs 14.81 crore at the worldwide box office. The film was included in the list of blockbuster films of that year.
