Hillary Clinton, a former presidential candidate, will receive the highest civilian honor in the United States

Washington, DC [US], January 5: According to a White House announcement, US President Joe Biden announced 19 new winners of the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

The highest civilian award in the United States, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, is given to those who have made outstanding contributions to global peace, American economy, American ideals, or security, or to other important social, public, or private endeavors.

According to Biden, successful leaders uphold moral principles, offer everyone an equal opportunity, and prioritize decency. These 19 people are outstanding leaders who have improved both the United States and the globe. According to the statement, “They are outstanding leaders because they are decent individuals who have made outstanding contributions to their nation and the world.”

On Saturday (local time), the White House will host the award presentation.

The greatest honor will go to Hillary Rodham Clinton. As the first First Lady elected to the US Senate, Clinton made history on several occasions over her decades in public service. She became the first woman to be nominated for president by a major U.S. political party after serving as Secretary of State.

The honor will be given to Jose Andres. Tapas were made famous in the United States by Andres, a well-known Spanish-American culinary inventor. His World Central Kitchen offers extensive assistance to populations impacted by war and natural calamities worldwide.

Baldwin, Ashton The honor will be given to Carter after his death. As the 25th Secretary of Defense, Carter dedicated his professional life to ensuring that everyone in the country was safer. He worked for 11 Secretaries of Defense in both Democratic and Republican administrations throughout his tenure.

Additionally, Tim Gill will receive the highest civilian honor in the United States. Entrepreneur Tim Gill has contributed to the advancement of LGBTQI equality and rights. According to the statement, he used his fortune to win significant wins in the struggle for anti-discrimination and marital equality after revolutionizing the publishing sector with innovative software.

The honor will also go to Jane Goodall. Our knowledge of monkeys and human evolution has been revolutionized by the work of famous ethologist and environmentalist Goodall. She is an ardent supporter of giving people and communities the tools they need to save and conserve nature.

According to the announcement, Fannie Lou Hamer will also get the honor posthumously. America’s fight for racial justice was revolutionized by Hamer. She paved the way for the Voting Rights Act of 1965 by founding the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party, which fought against the marginalization of Black voices in politics.

The honor will also be given posthumously to Robert Francis Kennedy. Kennedy is known as a United States Senator who worked to alleviate poverty and inequality in the nation and as an Attorney General who vehemently opposed racial segregation. According to the statement, his memory continues to motivate those who are dedicated to equality, justice, and public service.
