'Baby John' box office collection day 11: The Varun Dhawan starrer actor drama still struggles to reach Rs.40 crore mark
When Atlee announced ‘Baby John’ it created a huge buzz. When Varun Dhawan ’s first look came out fans went into to frenzy. And when Jackie Shroff’s look as the antagonist was revealed the excitement level was off the charts. However, when the movie was released on Christmas, it couldn’t live up to its hype. Since it was released on a holiday, the festive cheer helped the movie to have a decent opening with Rs 11.25 crore. However, right from day 2, the movie saw a drop, and even after completing 11 days at the box office, the Varun Dhawan starrer ‘Baby John’ is struggling to reach the Rs. 40 crore mark.
According to the Sacnilk report, the movie only made Rs 80 lakhs in India on its 11th day, i.e.its second Saturday. Though on day 10 the movie made only Rs 55 lakh, so compared to that on Saturday the movie saw an increase in business. Yet, the total collection of the movie so far is Rs 37.75 crores.
Owing to the performance of the movie, the action drama starring Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, and Wamiqa Gabbi lost some screens in the last few days as the film wasn't doing that well. Reportedly, around 2500 shows were canceled; thus, the impact on the business is obvious.
