Aam Aadmi Party's national spokesperson, Priyanka Kakkar, hit out at Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit for failing to speak out against former BJP MP and saffron party's candidate from the Kalkaji Assembly seat, Ramesh Bidhuri, over his controversial remarks about Priyanka Gandhi.

In a post on X, Priyanka Kakkar stated, "Ramesh Bidhuri spoke so disgracefully about Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi ji, but Sandeep Dikshit doesn't have the courage to say even a single word against him. This alone shows how deep the relationship between Sandeep Dikshit and the BJP truly is."

Priyanka Kakkar's remarks follow the circulation of a purported video of Ramesh Bidhuri on social media, in which he can be heard saying, "Lalu Yadav had said he would build roads in Bihar as smooth as Hema Malini's cheeks. He lied, but I promise you, I'll build the roads of Kalkaji as smooth as Priyanka Vadra's cheeks."

Reacting to the BJP leader's controversial statement about the Gandhi scion, Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate wrote on X that Bidhuri's remarks reflect his “ugly mindset” toward women.

"The BJP is extremely anti-women. Ramesh Bidhuri's statement regarding Priyanka Gandhi is not only shameful but also exposes his disgusting mentality toward women. But what else can be expected from a man who abused his fellow MP in the House without facing any punishment?" she said.

"This is the true face of the BJP. Will BJP's women leaders, the Minister for Women and Child Development, Nadda ji, or even the Prime Minister himself, speak out against this deplorable language and mindset? In fact, Modi ji himself is the originator of such anti-women language and thinking—using terms like 'mangalsutra' and 'mujra.' What else can we expect from his people?" the Congress spokesperson added.

She demanded an apology for the BJP's "deplorable mindset."

AAP MP Sanjay Singh has condemned the BJP leader's statement against Priyanka Gandhi. Speaking to news agency ANI, Singh said, "It is very shameful. BJP has given a ticket to a person who used abusive language in the Parliament and also to the person who was openly distributing money to the people... Making such cheap and shameless comments on a senior Congress leader is very unfortunate. The women of Delhi must have understood the kind of security they will be getting under their rule."

As of the time of publication, Sandeep Dikshit has not responded to Ramesh Bidhuri's controversial remarks about Priyanka Gandhi.
